A transparent guide to what the viewer can and cannot open.
Format compatibility
Drop a file to open the matching tool automatically. This table lists the actions currently available and their key limits.

HWP 5.x
OLE-based Hangul documents are supported. Complex charts, external fonts and distribution/DRM files may be limited.
HWPX
ZIP/XML-based HWPX is supported. Damaged or encrypted packages cannot be opened.
Markdown
MD and MARKDOWN text files support preview, GFM tables and task lists, live editing, and saving. External images are not loaded for privacy.
Viewing, text search, reordering, permanent rotation, deletion, extraction, merging, and saving as a new PDF are supported. Encrypted and some damaged PDFs cannot be opened. Saving a modified PDF may invalidate existing digital signatures.
CSV · TSV · XLS · XLSX
CSV and TSV support UTF-8 and EUC-KR text, while XLS and XLSX support multiple sheets. You can edit cells, paste tables, and export CSV, TSV, or XLSX. Formulas are preserved but not recalculated. Changed XLS files are saved as XLSX; some original cell formatting and macros are not preserved, and macros are never run.
Compatibility check scope
We continuously check the following behavior with representative basic files.
- HWP and HWPX text search, page rendering, and reopening after save
- Markdown source and basic GFM content such as tables and task lists
- Page dimensions and text extraction from a two-page PDF
- UTF-8 and EUC-KR CSV, quoted commas and line breaks, and TSV text preservation
- Read XLS and XLSX multiple sheets and formulas, then save and reopen as XLSX
This scope keeps basic behavior stable, but it does not guarantee every complex real-world document will render or round-trip identically.
Not supported
- HWP 3.x, password and DRM documents
- Lossless round-trip HWP editing and print-accurate output
- Markdown raw HTML, external images, and Mermaid
- Encrypted PDFs and direct PDF text editing
- Encrypted XLS or XLSX, formula recalculation, preserving XLS macros, and chart editing
